Scratch Coding Adventure
I’ve spent most of my day working on a new project in Scratch. It’s about making a simple game where a character jumps over obstacles. I’m trying to figure out how to make the background change colors when you press certain keys. So far, I’ve managed to get it to change to blue and green, but red is giving me trouble.
I wish I had more time to experiment. Sometimes when I try something new, like adding a sound effect or making the character move faster, things don’t work as planned. But that’s okay because it teaches me what works and what doesn’t.
The hardest part is keeping track of all the blocks. They get so tangled sometimes, but then I remember to organize them step by step. My latest plan is to add a timer to see how long you can last in the game without hitting any obstacles.
After school today, I’m going to try adding a little music to make it more fun. Maybe something upbeat like “Happy” by Pharrell Williams. It’s been stuck in my head all day and seems perfect for this project.
I hope my character can jump higher tomorrow. The height is tricky, but I know if I keep trying, I’ll get there. Scratch is like a puzzle, and every time I solve one part, it feels really good.
