I hold the small blue Game Boy tightly. The screen glows softly in my hand. I press buttons, trying to make it work right. The green screen flashes and beeps loudly when I press Start or A. The sound echoes in the quiet room. I try again, hoping for different results. Sometimes the screen shows a little snake moving around, but other times, nothing happens at all. I tap the buttons faster, watching closely for any sign of movement. My fingers get tired from pressing so much. But I keep trying, waiting for the game to appear and play itself out on the tiny screen.
