The New Pokémon Snap Launches
The screen’s cold glow lights up the room as I start the new game. Pikachu dances on the icon, ready to guide me through the digital world. I press A to begin and find myself in a forest filled with vibrant colors. The camera whirs into life, spinning around the towering trees and strange creatures. Squirtle splashes in a pond, and a Pidgey takes flight as it’s snapped by the virtual lens.
The controls are smooth, like riding a bicycle. I zoom in to catch a Rattata scurrying across the grass, then back out to get an overall shot of the scene. The background hum of the console underlines my movements, steady and reassuring. Each snap fills up the photo album with snapshots of various Pokémon, from Eevee playing in a puddle to Zubat flying silently at night.
As I explore, the camera captures not just the Pokémon but their habitats—shining berries on bushes, streams sparkling in sunlight, mushrooms sprouting from the ground. It’s like painting a picture with light and sound, each photo telling its own story.
After hours of clicking away, my album is almost full. I save it to take home later, eager to see how it looks on the screen after the game ends.
