The Game Boy glows softly in my small hands. I press the buttons, trying out each one. The screen stays dark, but I can hear a faint clicking sound. I swipe the left and right dials—nothing happens! Frustrated, I shake the tiny device, hoping that will make it work. Suddenly, the screen flickers to life, showing a picture of Mario in his usual red shirt. He waves at me with a small smile. The screen blinks quickly, then goes dark again. Still, I press and hold the power button for a moment, just in case. Nothing changes. Sighing, I decide to try another game. But the first one works! I can see Mario jump and run through the levels. It’s like magic how this small device does so much.
