The Button's Click
The button on the Game Boy clicks softly as I press it. It lights up a bright green and shows a new screen. I tilt the little machine to make the small characters move across the tiny screen. They jump and dance, making funny faces. I can’t help but giggle every time they land on the funny cloud. The game is about catching those characters in a big net, but it’s hard because they keep running away or falling into the water below. When I finally catch one, a little sound plays—a cheerful ding! I smile and press the button again to start over. It’s like playing with toys, only these are on a tiny screen that fits right in my hand.
