New Web Dev Project

Today’s project is all about making my own portfolio website. I’ve been playing around with HTML and CSS for a while now, but this time, I’m really diving in deep. I want to make sure it’s not just functional but also visually appealing.

I started by setting up the basic structure of the site using HTML. It’s like building blocks—figuring out where everything goes step-by-step. Then came the CSS part. I spent a good chunk of time tweaking the colors and layout until I got something that looked decent.

I’ve been following some tutorials online, but it’s tricky to balance learning new things with actually creating something personal. For instance, I’m trying to figure out how to make my projects section really pop. I need to include screenshots and descriptions of past coding challenges I’ve tackled. But I also want to add a bit of flair—like hover effects or transitions.

There are times when it feels frustrating, like when an element won’t align the way I want it to. But then there’s that moment of satisfaction when you finally get something looking just right. It’s these little victories that keep me going.

The internet is full of resources and communities where people share tips and tricks. There’s a subreddit dedicated to web development for beginners, and I’ve been lurking through posts, asking questions, and trying out their advice. It’s amazing how much you can learn from others who are on the same journey.

Tonight, after spending hours coding away in my room, I’m feeling pretty good about where things stand. The next step is to work on some dynamic parts—like adding a contact form or maybe even some interactive elements using JavaScript. But for now, it’s all about making sure everything looks and functions as intended without any bugs.

This portfolio isn’t just about showcasing my skills; it’s also a chance to personalize my online presence. I want future employers (or potential friends who might need coding help) to see what makes me unique and why they should take notice. It’s more work than I initially thought, but it’s also incredibly rewarding.
