The Whirring of the Game Console

The console hums softly as I press buttons on the controller. The screen flickers with colors—green lines forming a fuzzy image. I move the controller left and right, watching the characters shift. A spinning logo appears, then disappears, leaving behind a game menu. I choose “Start” and wait for the levels to load. The console whirs louder as more data streams in. Characters jump on platforms, their movements jerky but fun. I tap buttons quickly, trying to time my jumps just right. Sometimes it syncs perfectly, other times the screen lags slightly, making me miss a move. But I keep pressing and watching, enjoying the action unfold before me.
