Tonight’s been a mix of excitement and nerves as I wait for the new Sonic game to launch. The screens on my computer show the countdown: 10… 9… 8… Everyone around me at home is busy with other things, but I can’t help but keep checking the clock. My mom says it’s already late, and I should be sleeping soon, but I don’t want to miss a second of this.

The game promises so much: new zones with zany names like “Mega Tornado Valley” and “Glowing Ore Canyon.” I can’t wait to see Sonic zoom through these places, spinning rings left and right. My friend Billy sent me a screenshot earlier that showed a giant hedgehog trap—it looks insane!

I’ve been practicing my spin dash in the living room, pretending I’m playing the game already. It’s not as fun without being able to actually play, but it gets me ready for when I can.

By the time 12:00 AM rolls around, I’m so wound up I could burst. But then it happens—bam! The game starts. I dive in headfirst and get lost in the chaos of blue rings and speedy hedgehog dashes. It’s better than I imagined. I stay up until 3:00 AM, just playing, forgetting about anything else.
