I hold the Game Boy tightly. It’s warm in my small hands. The screen is lit up with blue light. I press down on START. A soft hum comes from it, but nothing happens. I try again, pressing SELECT and then START together. Still, no game starts. I tap the screen gently, hoping a game pops up like magic. Nothing moves. I wiggle the Game Boy in my hand, trying to make something happen. The only sound is the soft buzzing of the device. I look around, checking if someone might be watching or helping. But there’s no one here but me and my Game Boy. I sigh softly and put it back on the table. Maybe tomorrow it will work better.
