Just got home from school and I’m super stoked about the new Sonic game that came out today. It’s been ages since they’ve released anything new for him. I’ve spent all day waiting to dive in.

The intro is amazing, with all those cool characters flying around in vibrant colors. Knuckles looks like he always does, but there are some new zones that really wow me. One of them has a huge waterfall that you can swim through! The levels have these neat sections where you can do tricks and collect power-ups. I’ve been trying to get the highest score possible.

I’m currently in Angel Island, just having fun running around and collecting rings. It’s so satisfying when you get a perfect ring collection at the end of a zone. But, oh no, I almost fell into the lava pit! That was close one. I need to be more careful.

Can’t wait to try out some of the new characters too. Espio looks like he’ll be fun to play as. His speed and stealth are a great contrast to Sonic’s all-out dash. I wonder how Tails will fare in the battles—his gadgets always save me, so maybe he can add some variety.

I wish there was an online mode where you could race with friends or just show off your best runs. Maybe that’ll come later as an update. For now, I’m just enjoying this solo adventure.

After school, I heard a rumor that there might be some special event in the Sonic game tomorrow for those who preorder. I’m thinking about checking if it’s true and maybe getting a second controller just so I can play more.

Tonight, I’ll probably stay up late to keep playing. This game is too good to stop now!
