Debugging Nightmares

I’ve been having these weird dreams lately where I’m stuck in an endless loop of coding. First, it’s just writing lines of code that don’t seem to work right. Then, the nightmare escalates—now there are bugs everywhere, and I can’t figure out how to fix them.

Tonight, for the first time, my character is actually inside the computer. It’s like stepping into a video game but more confusing. The screen flickers with code in random places, and I’m trying to make sense of it all while avoiding viruses that seem intent on deleting everything I’ve typed so far.

I keep hitting dead ends, trying different methods to fix the bugs, only to find myself back at square one. It’s like real-life debugging but without any break or reset button. Every time I think I’m making progress, something else breaks.

It’s frustrating because I know there must be a solution, but it feels impossible to find it. The frustration turns into anger sometimes—why do these bugs always find me when I’m most tired? And why does everything seem so much harder in the dream?

But even though it’s annoying, there’s something oddly satisfying about solving small parts of the puzzle. Maybe this is just my brain trying to process all the coding I’ve been doing lately for school projects and that cool indie game I helped with last week.

I’m hoping tomorrow will bring some answers or at least a better night’s sleep without these pesky bugs haunting me.
