I’m sitting on my bed with a notebook filled with strange symbols. Mom bought me that cool coding book from the store today; it’s got all kinds of funny-looking letters and numbers that make up secret messages. I’m trying to figure out how to decode them, like a spy.

So far, I’ve only managed to crack some easy ones. But there’s this one tricky message about a hidden treasure in an old video game map! I spent the whole afternoon tracing the symbols with my pencil, thinking really hard. My fingers hurt from all that writing!

I think it might be a clue for the next level of Sonic’s game. Remember how last week we got to the castle and found all those rings? This could be something even bigger! I’m so curious to see if there’s more treasure waiting for me in the game.

The hardest part is figuring out where to start. There are so many symbols, like a maze! But every time I make a little progress, it feels like solving a puzzle. Maybe tonight, after I finish my practice exercises, I’ll spend some more time on this. Who knows what secrets it might unlock?
