New Coding Club Challenges
Today’s coding club session was packed with new challenges. We’re working on making simple games using Scratch, and I’m really into it! The teacher showed us how to use blocks to make characters move and react to user inputs. It’s like putting together a puzzle, but instead of pieces fitting in place, you’re stacking commands that tell the computer what to do.
I tried creating a little maze game where a character has to navigate through obstacles to reach a prize. The hardest part was making sure everything moves smoothly without getting stuck or going too fast. It’s like training a tiny robot to follow instructions perfectly!
The best part is when you get it working just right and the character dances around the screen, avoiding walls and collecting stars. I can’t wait to see what games everyone else makes. Maybe next time we could do something with sound effects—I heard those can make games so much more fun!
