Today is my first day at coding club! I woke up early, eager as can be. Missed breakfast, but that’s okay. Mom packed me a snack of peanut butter and jelly sandwich, which tastes just right.

The classroom is all colorful with kids working on computers, typing away like little coders. My teacher, Mr. Lee, shows us how to make our first program: “Hello, World!” It’s not as exciting as it sounds, but I type it out carefully, watching the green letters appear on the screen. Success! Feeling proud, I add a few more lines, creating shapes and patterns.

At lunchtime, we share what we’ve done with each other. Some kids have made games or animations. One girl showed me how to make a moving character jump around. It’s fun seeing everyone’s projects grow!

Tonight, I can’t wait to play on the computer again at home. Maybe I’ll try making my own simple game tomorrow.
