The orange ball rolls down the hallway. It’s soft and bouncy, making little thumps as it hits the carpet. Each time it bounces, it lifts my feet up just a bit. I watch it go back and forth between the wall and the door frame. The ball is shiny with tiny dots all over it. Sometimes the light catches them, making sparkles. When I push it hard, it zips along faster, but then slows down when I stop pushing. It’s fun to follow where it goes, even though sometimes it rolls in circles.
