The screen hums as I press the buttons. Sonic zooms past rings, his blue and red outfit flashing like lightning. The track is wide with grass and trees. I want to be faster, run through all the levels without missing a ring. It feels like chasing him, trying to match his speed. Every time he does it, I get closer, but there’s always one more level left.
