The Sonic Spinball Zone
The screen of my Sega Genesis hums softly as I flip the switches. The title screen flickers with blue and green colors before the game begins. The character selector is up next—blue for Sonic, red for Tails, and yellow for Knuckles. I choose Sonic because he’s faster.
I wait impatiently while the music plays a quick tune. Then it’s time to start the level. I press Start and dive into the green hillside, jumping over spikes and avoiding robots. The game is tricky, with narrow paths between walls that require precise timing.
In this new zone called Spinball, I find myself in an underground arena. The screen zooms out as I roll through a maze of spinning balls. Each ball changes direction suddenly, making it hard to predict where they’ll go next. I use my speed to pass obstacles and collect rings scattered on the floor.
The challenge is intense but fun. I keep trying, pressing the buttons rapidly to control Sonic’s movements. Sometimes I make it past tricky parts, other times I fall into pits. The game keeps me engaged with its constant twists and turns.
