Debugging Bugs
The screen lights up with an endless loop of code that just won’t work. I’ve spent hours on it, trying every possible fix—adding commas, changing semicolons, even rearranging the order of lines. But somewhere in there, a tiny bug is hiding, making everything crash.
I try to take a break by opening a new tab and checking for updates. A new game just came out that everyone’s talking about online. I wish I had time to play it, but coding takes over my free hours these days. The reviews are good, though—lots of people saying it’s a challenging yet rewarding experience.
Back to the code, I decide to start from scratch. Maybe if I rewrite everything, the bug will jump out at me. I type away, trying to keep every line perfect. It’s frustrating, but also oddly satisfying. There’s something about the precision required in coding that calms my mind.
After a few minutes of typing, I save and run the code. The program runs perfectly this time. A smile creeps across my face as I realize what went wrong—a simple typo hidden in plain sight. Sometimes it’s just those tiny mistakes that trip you up.
I feel accomplished but also slightly disheartened by how much time was wasted. Still, debugging is like a puzzle, and solving it feels great. Maybe tonight, after finishing this project, I’ll finally get to try out the new game everyone’s talking about.
