Mario stands on the red mushroom. He jumps up and down, but his feet stay put. “Where’s the magic?” he asks himself. Suddenly, a small puff of air shoots from beneath him and he soars high into the sky. Mario grins widely as he floats back to the ground.

He picks up another mushroom. This time, when he bounces, he jumps three times higher! “Wow!” exclaims Mario, amazed at his new height. He lands safely on a block below, then finds more mushrooms and tries them one by one. Each mushroom gives him a different boost—two hops, four leaps, even flying high over the clouds.

Mario giggles with delight as he discovers these magical mushrooms in his adventure.
