The New Game Cart in the Store

The cart is big and shiny, sitting under the bright lights. The box has a picture of a tall tower with tiny figures climbing it. I can see the words “Castle Siege” on the side. A kid my age walks by, pointing at the cart and saying, “Look! New game!” A salesperson nods, smiling. He reaches for a small remote control next to the cart and presses a button. The screen lights up with a map of a battlefield, and a figure moves across it. I hear the clinking of coins in a money box nearby as another kid drops some in. The sound is loud in the quiet store. The salesperson hands him a card, and he takes off running towards the register. I watch them go, my fingers brushing against the smooth plastic of the cart handle.
