Late Night Coding Marathon

It’s been a while since I last coded this late. My laptop’s screen is the only light in the dark room as I type out lines of code with practiced ease. The keyboard clicks against the night, and my fingers dance across it like they know every key by heart.

I’m working on a new game—a side-scroller that’s still in its early stages. The coding feels like a puzzle, each line of script fitting together just right. I’ve been stuck trying to get the character to jump smoothly for hours now. Each failed attempt is another brick in the wall of frustration until finally… it works.

I let out a sigh and lean back. The room feels colder than usual; perhaps because of all this typing, my fingers are starting to tingle from the cold keyboard. I pull on my hoodie a bit tighter and take a deep breath. It’s been a long night but every line of code that falls into place brings me closer to something I can be proud of.

I glance at the clock. It’s almost midnight, and the game world outside my window is dark and quiet. A shooting star streaks across the sky, making me pause for a moment to wish for success in this project. As I type, my mind wanders back to the idea that started it all: creating a game where you can explore endless worlds.

I save my work, not bothering with an auto-save. The world out there is calling, and I need to get some sleep before tackling more code tomorrow. But for now, this late night coding session feels like the start of something big.
