The New Pokémon Snap on the Nintendo Switch

The screen hums softly in my hands. I’ve just powered up the new Nintendo Switch, eager to explore the islands with Piplup and his camera. A soft blue light envelops the screen as it powers on. The home menu pops up, and I tap on “New Game” for a fresh adventure.

I choose to head straight to Route 112. The water splashes softly in the background as Piplup wades into the shallow bay. A small fish flits by, its scales shimmering under the sunlight. I snap a quick photo of it, and the camera’s shutter click sounds crisp in my ear.

Piplup leads me to an island filled with tall grass. I can hear the rustling as I scan the area. Suddenly, a Pidgey appears! The bird flaps its wings and flies away, but not before I manage to snap another picture. I zoom in on the screen; the detail is incredible—Pidgey’s feathers are perfectly captured.

I move to the next island where the terrain changes. A path leads up a hillside covered in wild berries. I hear a soft rustling as Piplup and I make our way up, stopping occasionally to take photos of the evolving landscape.

The screen starts to flicker slightly as I navigate the complex paths. But the game remains responsive, guiding me through each challenge with ease. I spend hours exploring, capturing every creature that appears in front of my lens.

Finally, as the sun begins its descent, I set up the final photo at the peak of a tall cliff. The screen hums softly, and I click to take the shot. The last light of day filters through the setting clouds, casting a warm glow on Piplup’s photo.
