The sky is dark with gray clouds. Rain drops pitter-patter on the windows. The TV shows a cartoon about a fish learning to fly. I have an umbrella and some rubber boots. They’re so funny! My mom leaves them out for me just in case. I sit close to the screen, waiting for the fish to try flying again. It’s not as exciting as playing outside, but watching cartoons is better than being wet. Maybe when it stops raining, we can go to the park and splash in puddles like before.
