The computer screen turns blue like the sky just before sunset. A message appears in white text that says “Error 0x0000007B.” Below it is a picture of a crying face. I press the F8 key to try and fix it, but nothing happens. The only sound is my own breathing getting faster. I tap the keyboard harder, hoping something will change, but the blue screen stays stubbornly on. Outside, cars drive by with their engines humming softly. Inside, just this box that won’t do what I want it to.
