New Coding Project Launches

It’s been going on for weeks now, but today feels different. The new coding project is out, and it’s all about making a space station explore asteroids. I’ve spent so much time looking at the code, tweaking algorithms, and debugging loops that it almost feels like a whole other world. The graphics are amazing—shiny rocks floating in blackness, with streaks of light from the camera as it zooms around.

I’ve been working late into the night to add more asteroids and tweak the AI for the station’s exploration route. It’s not just about coding anymore; it’s about making this simulation feel real, like I’m controlling an actual space mission. Each asteroid has its unique path and resources to discover—minerals, gases, everything that makes a planet tick.

There are already some bugs to iron out, but they’re part of the process. One asteroid is acting weird when the station passes by it, kind of glitching in place. I’m trying different angles and speeds to see if I can stabilize it, or maybe there’s an issue with how the asteroid’s rotation is calculated.

The asteroids are named after famous scientists—Galileo, Newton, Einstein. It’s a small nod to the history of space exploration and science, making this project feel more personal. When you name something after someone important, you give it weight, make it feel like part of a bigger story.

Tonight, I’m going to focus on adding more asteroids and maybe some environmental effects—like a meteor shower or gravity changes as you get closer to an asteroid’s surface. It’s exciting to see all the little details come together, creating this immersive space simulation that feels real.
