I put the new game cartridge into the big machine. It makes a clunk sound when I slide it in. I press the power button and wait. A picture of a blue sky with fluffy clouds appears on the screen. Then, a man in a white robe starts running across the screen! He jumps over little blocks that look like tiny mountains.

I try to move him left and right using the buttons at the bottom. Sometimes he runs fast, sometimes slow. When he gets to the end of the level, I press the start button so he can jump higher than before. It’s fun watching him go through all the levels without falling down!
