The Game Saves the World

The screen hums softly as I tap the joystick. A rocket ship zips across, firing lasers at alien spaceships. The spaceship I’m controlling dodges bullets, then fires back. Suddenly, a huge alien drone appears! It’s twice my size. The game pauses for just a moment, and I see a box appear on the screen—three buttons glowing.

I press the “B” button. A shield pops up around the ship. The drone shoots at me, but I swerve away, then hit “A” to fire. The shield flickers, but holds. The alien drones explode! Everyone cheers in the background—thunderous applause and a voice shouting, “You did it!”

The game continues smoothly after that. I’m level 10 now, with a shiny new power-up—a flamethrower! I use it to destroy smaller enemies easily. Mission complete, the screen flashes green. I’ve saved the galaxy one asteroid at a time.
