The game screen flickers like it’s trying to fall asleep. I press the buttons for the high jump, but my character just stands there like he forgot what he was supposed to do. I try again and again, each time hoping something different will happen. My fingers get tired from pressing so much. The music plays on loop now, getting a little scratchy too. Suddenly, instead of jumping over the bar, my character slides under it! It’s silly and not like the rules, but kind of funny. I press Start to see if maybe that will fix things, but nope—same glitch again. Now the sky in the background keeps changing colors, going from blue to green to yellow. It’s all a bit bizarre now.
