The Falling Leaf
A single leaf floats down from the sky, graceful and slow. Its edges are curled, like it’s smiling at me as it spins. It touches my nose, then bounces off, twirling to a stop on the grass. A tiny breeze whispers through the trees, making leaves rustle softly. I watch them dance until they land in different spots, some closer, some farther away. I want to catch one before it touches down but I can’t seem to make my fingers fast enough. The world is quiet now, filled with just the sound of leaves and the gentle breeze.
