Today at coding club, we got the word that our next project is all about making games. The teacher told us she wants us to create a simple platformer using only the logic blocks in Code Blocks. It’s supposed to be like a little Sonic game where you have to collect rings and avoid enemies.

I’ve been thinking about this all day at lunch. I drew some quick sketches of what levels could look like—rings flying around, obstacles blocking paths, and maybe some sliding platforms. I can’t wait to start coding these levels and see if they work the way I imagine.

The other kids are super into it too. They’re already talking about which characters we should have and how many rings we need for each level. I’m excited but also a little nervous because I’ve never made anything this big before. But who cares? It’s time to give it a shot!
